The Best PNW Employers?

Can we truly define the very best employers and organizations across the Pacific Northwest?

Can a ranking with even hundreds of employers and organizations capture the essence of the PNW?

Who are the champions? The most amazing organizations? The employers that epitomize the hardworking and innovative spirit of the PNW?

Which organizations give back and contribute to the region in the most spectacular ways? How could one possibly "rank" such organizations? By what calculus could we enter into this discussion? Lives saved? Dollars earned? Awards received?

These deep questions keep me up at night sometimes. Inspired by "March Madness," I have created multiple brackets that may illuminate or entertain. Maybe both?

This was incredibly difficult, even with applying a few "rules of the road" of sorts:
Rule 1: Must be based or headquartered in the PNW (sorry Boeing). And I'm using the standard definition of PNW including Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and a teensy bit of Canada.
Rule 2: No K-12 institutions, colleges/community colleges, fire, EMS, law enforcement, or federal agencies. Just too many rockstars.
Rule 3: No actual states. Sorry Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. It would goof up the matchups. Plus, some folks claim Alaska, Hawaii, and/or Montana are part of the PNW. Yowzer.
Rule 4: Yes, subsidiaries are just fine (e.g. Fluke is a subsidiary of Fortive, and Kenworth is a subsidiary of PACCAR).

Each bracket has 32x amazing organizations. There are multiple brackets to choose from. What do you think? Good choices? Did I leave out your favorites? Which bracket do you like best? If you could build just one bracket...who makes the cut?

Enjoy, discuss, debate, and rock on!
